Comparison between Jainism and Buddhism
The two religions are very similar.
They both do not beleive in a
creator god but numerous
deities. They also share a
common goal. Buddhist
beleive in reincarnation and karma
and the goal to reach nirvana or
enlightenment. In Jainism they
are trying to pursue something
similar, liberation. The difference is
that once nirvana is reached in
Buddhism there is no soul but
just emptiness and in Jainism there
is still a soul once nirvana is reached,
it has just reach the highest state of
purity and enlightenment.
